Interview with Gesa Fasse

Just over a year ago, Gesa Fasse joined the development department at SABEU as a Junior Project Manager. Since that time, she has primarily been working on exciting development topics in the cellQART® product line, which focuses on cell culture Well Plates and similar products. In addition to improving existing products, she works daily to expand the already impressive product portfolio. Today we wanted to look back on the past year with her:

Before joining SABEU, Gesa studied materials engineering with a focus on plastics engineering. She has written her master's thesis at a larger company which gave her initial insights into biotechnology. Now at SABEU, she is thrilled to apply her knowledge of plastics engineering to cell biology and create real value.

  • What motivated Gesa to start her career at SABEU?
She chose SABEU because it allows her to pursue her passion for plastics technology at a company in her hometown. She also appreciates the cross-departmental collaboration, which is often less pronounced in larger companies.
  • What does a typical workday look like for Gesa, and which project has been her favourite so far?
Every day brings new challenges and variety. A highlight for Gesa was the launch of the 12-Well Plate Products in the cellQART family. This project was one of her first major projects and offered her many new insights and valuable experiences as a Junior Project Manager.
  • What makes the work atmosphere at SABEU special for Gesa, and how does the company support her professional growth?
Gesa values the collegial atmosphere and the short decision-making processes at SABEU. Problems are quickly solved, and she learns something new every day – whether through external training or in her daily work in technology and project management.

Many thanks for your insights, Gesa, and good luck for all your upcoming projects here at SABEU!
